Inhabitants of Colleton County - Commissions for making creeks and building bridges ----
And yt all the male inhabitants living on the South Side of Edisto Island from the Plantacon of Thomas Daw inclusive to the Plantacon of Farmer Fripp, inclusive together wth all ye inhabitants that lives to the Southwards of Walter Abbots, cutt, to cutt the sd cutt. And that William Edwards, Jno Seabrook, John Wittmarsh be Commissionrs /


Notes:
It is uncertain which Fripp this was, but was almost certainly John Fripp snr, or his father (the immigrant). It is probably the same John Fripp of Edisto, who registered his marks for cattle in 1698.

Pages 43-44 of the same journal (1702), show that John Fripp, of Edisto, was High Sheriff of Colleton County. However, it is still uncertain if this sheriff was John Fripp Snr, or his father.

In 1714, an act was passed by the Assembly authorizing the laying out of a road from John Fripp's "plantacon" in Edisto to Wilton.
