NOTE: This tree is a "work in progress". Many of the notes are incomplete and some links will not work correctly, especially when inside a Scrapbook. I still have much data to add and apologise to those contributors whose information has not yet been added. My sincere thanks to all.

I have tried to verify as much information as possible but errors may exist or conflict with other sources. Individuals with uncertain details have a (See Notes) label attached to their name.

Any photos will be found in the individual's Scrapbook. Click the "ScrapBook" link in the left menu for a list. These allow only a limited amount of text so I will be adding feature pages containing more detailed notes, photos and links. These will appear at the right of the Scrapbook links. NOTE: The Main Menu (Top Left) will not work when you are in a scrapbook. You can use your browser's BACK button to exit or use the "Exit Scrapbook" link below or here.

Details and photos of individuals labelled as living are automatically excluded, however a separate list is available here for living people who have permitted or asked for their details to be published.

NOTES: From Dick Cryer
Daisy lived in Eastborne, Sussex, and then went to a nursing home in Barnet, Hertfordshire. She was buried about 1968 in a small churchyard near Barnet, according to a cousin, Joan Lewis Meek. She is said to have married aged about 70 to a Major with a wooden leg. She was a writer, pen name Nan Gloster, for the Sunday Pictorial, Routledge Publishing, etc. She was born in Wick, spent time at 29 Langley Way, Watford; later on in Eastbourne, Sussex, and finally in the nursing home and was buried in a small churchyard in New Southgate near Barnet.

Dick wrote to Joan Meek at Crowell, Oxfordshire in July 2002, who arranged the funeral of Daisy, although Joan, apparently, did not know her last name. It now appears that Joan died about Jan 2003.

Diana Rundman, of Leeds Alumni Organisation, contacted the New Barnett Cemetery where she thinks Daisy was buried in 1965. Madeleine who works there, found three - Diana and Madeleine believe the most likely one is Daisy Tinker who died 19 Feb 1965. However, her age is given as 72, giving a birth year of 1893, which is 3 years out. Diana had sent for the death certificate, but Dick did not hear from her again.

Dick would like to know more about Daisy and would like to hear from anyone who has information about her. Please contact the owner of this website, if you have further details.

Charlotte "Lottie" Louisa Collins

Known by her stage name "Lottie Collins", she was a well known singer and dancer, who was most famous for singing Tar-ra-ra-boom-der-ay!.

After her marriage to Stephen Cooney, she married Music Hall lyricist James William Tate.

Further details can be found HERE

A photo of Lottie and the following mini biography is shown here:
Born in London in 1866, Lottie first appeared as a skipping rope dancer in 1877. She worked with her two younger sisters for a couple of years as 'The Three Sisters Collins' and performed in plays and pantomimes. She was best known for her success with the song 'Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay', and nothing else in her career came close to its success. However, at this time before recording or broadcasting, a career could be built on a single song, and audiences came to hear it. Collins worked for many years before and after 'Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay' made her famous. She was a singer, dancer and comedian, and ran her own variety company. She married three times and died aged only 44 in 1910. Her daughter, Jose Collins, became a famous musical comedy star.

The crash was caused by a faulty cargo door, which was not closed correctly at Orly, Paris. The aircraft crashed about 30 miles North of Paris, at the Grove of Dammartin in the Ermenonville forest, close to the town of Senlis. A memorial was erected at the site with the names of all who were killed.
