NOTE: This tree is a "work in progress". Many of the notes are incomplete and some links will not work correctly, especially when inside a Scrapbook. I still have much data to add and apologise to those contributors whose information has not yet been added. My sincere thanks to all.I have tried to verify as much information as possible but errors may exist or conflict with other sources. Individuals with uncertain details have a (See Notes) label attached to their name.
Any photos will be found in the individual's Scrapbook. Click the "ScrapBook" link in the left menu for a list. These allow only a limited amount of text so I will be adding feature pages containing more detailed notes, photos and links. These will appear at the right of the Scrapbook links. NOTE: The Main Menu (Top Left) will not work when you are in a scrapbook. You can use your browser's BACK button to exit or use the "Exit Scrapbook" link below or here.
Details and photos of individuals labelled as living are automatically excluded, however a separate list is available here for living people who have permitted or asked for their details to be published.
If you do find errors, conflicts or would like to update your line please let me know. Webmaster

Probably Joan's death: GRO
Joan Mary Meek, b. 16 Jan 1923, d. Jan 2003, aged 80, Aylesbury Vale, BuckinghamshirePossible children: GRO
Gillian Meek, Dec qtr 1943, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
Angela G. Meek, Mar qtr 1947, Watford, Hertfordshire
Cherrylyn Meek, Mar qtr 1949, Forest of Dean, GloucestershireIn July 2002, Joan was contacted by her cousin, Dick Cryer, who was enquiring about Joan's aunt, Daisy Cryer.
Daisy lived in Eastborne, Sussex, and then went to a nursing home in Barnet, Hertfordshire. She was buried about 1968 in a small churchyard near Barnet, according Joan. Daisy is said to have married aged about 70 to a Major with a wooden leg. She was a writer, pen name Nan Gloster, for the Sunday Pictorial, Routledge Publishing, etc. She was born in Wick, spent time at 29 Langley Way, Watford; later on in Eastbourne, Sussex, and finally in the nursing home and was buried in a small churchyard in New Southgate near Barnet.
Diana Rundman, of Leeds Alumni Organisation, contacted the New Barnett Cemetery where she thinks Daisy was buried in 1965. Madeleine who works there, found three - Diana and Madeleine believe the most likely one is Daisy Tinker who died 19 Feb 1965. However, her age is given as 72, giving a birth year of 1893, which is 3 years out. Diana had sent for the death certificate, but Dick did not hear from her again.
Dick would like to know more about Daisy and would like to hear from anyone who has information about her. Please contact the owner of this website, if you have further information.
