NOTE: This is a TEMPORARY WEBSITE ONLY, and is meant as a stopgap until the Main Website has been updated. Some of the notes are incomplete and many of the links will not work. There is still much data to add and conflicts to settle. This tree has been compiled with the help of many contributors. Sincere thanks to all, and apologies to those whose information has not yet been added.
I have tried to verify as much information as possible but errors may exist. Individuals with uncertain details have a (see notes) label attached to their name.
If photos exist, they will be found in the individual's Scrapbook. Click the "ScrapBook" link in the left menu for a list. Scrapbooks can only contain a limited amount of text so I am now adding more presentable feature pages containing notes, photos and links. These pages are shown to the right of their Scrapbooks, but are presently very few. NOTE: The Main Menu (Top Left) will not work when you are in a scrapbook. You will have to use your browser's BACK button to exit or use the "Exit Scrapbook" link below or here.
Details and photos of individuals labelled as living are automatically filtered out of the Tree, however a separate list is available here for living people who have permitted or asked for their details to be published.
If you do find errors, conflicts or would like to update your line please let me know. Webmaster
Charles and Louise had an antique business in Brighton, before they moved to Canada, after 1921.
Charles was thought to have lost his sight.
Further details of the Streeter family can be found at Duncan McNicol's Website HereDetails of 1st marriage from Duncan McNicol:

The details from Censuses below do not appear to correspond with above but seem credible. It could, of course, be another Charles Henry Streeter born in London and living in Brighton !!!

Patrick DUNN is mentioned as next of kin for his son Patrick Andrew Dunn, when he died at Bermuda in March 1880. Patrick junior signed DUNNE, so it is unsure if the father had the same spelling, or whether the son had added the E.
Patrick senior was residing at St. Andrews, Dublin, in 1880.
Elizabeth "Etta" Harriet Dunne
Info from Shirley Spears Parker:
Elizabeth and brother, William, were sent to Halifax, Nova Scotia, after their mother died aged 23 in Bermuda, and were both adopted.
After living previously in Boston, Massachusetts, Elizabeth later wound up in Grand Detour, Illinois (next to Dixon) in a log cabin owned by her third husband, Oliver Portner, where Shirley often visited them in her youth and attended her funeral.Shirley has a collection of letters written to Aunt Etta from Southwick, England, from her aunt Elizabeth and uncle Philip Colwell, ending in 1910.
Aunt Etta had only one child who died in infancy.
It is possible that one of Etta's cousins was also living in Massachusetts. He was possibly born in England between 1790-1802. He had a son, William P. Colwell, who was born in Massachusetts possibly between 1820-1832. William married Sarah Fellows, and had a son, Charles Augustus Colwell, who was born in Dixon, Illinois about 1853. Charles married Olivia Jane Dierdorff.
In 1880, Charles & Olivia were living in Franklin Grove, Lee, Illinois, with daughters Emma & Eva. The census shows that Charles' father was born in Massachusetts and his mother was born in New Hampshire. Charles is also listed on the 1870 census at Lee, Illinois, but I do not have access, so cannot see who else is in his household.
Possible marriage, although most unlikely as she is not thought to have returned to UK: Free BMD

Henry's will shows that he made a bequest to his nephew, Edward George Piper. It is thought that Henry's brother, William, only had two daughters, so Edward George Piper is likely to be a son of Edward Piper & Ann Kent Hibdige.
