I have tried to verify as much information as possible but errors may exist. Individuals with uncertain details have a (see notes) label attached to their name.

I have no proof that this Peter is son of William & Hannah, but he does appear to be so. The trees at www.grimshaworigin.org/WebPages/EdwdDory.htm also show Peter as their son, although they show a Christening date of 18 Jul 1803. They also show that he married Mary Keighley. Witnesses at the wedding were; James Grimshaw, William Hall & John Walton. James was probably Peter's brother, and is also shown on the tree above.
The names of Peter & Mary's children are very similar to his siblings, and he was living two entries away from his brother, Samuel, and three entries away from his brother William, in 1851.
It is possible that William & Hannah had a son Peter in 1803 who died in infancy, and then they had another Peter (this one) about 1809.
It is also possible that this Peter's parents were Peter Grimshaw & Elizabeth Marshall, who married at Addingham (11 miles from Calverley) on 14 Dec 1803.

GRIMSHAW – Jan 11th, Mabel, daughter of Walter and Rhoda Grimshaw of Gates Croft, Calverley aged 2 years and 8 months, deeply lamented.
Harold is mentioned on one tree as marrying the girl next door, and having a daughter named June; then divorced her and married an opera singer.
He is shown on several websites as a student or lecturer at the London School of Economics. He is later shown as Head of the Mandate Department, International Labour Office, League of Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland. He died at Geneva in 1929, shortly after returning from a mission to the Dutch East Indies. Whilst at the League of Nations, he also organised a Drama Society. Perhaps this was when he met his second wife, the opera singer.
He was also probably the founder of the Grimshaw Club, which is a student society affiliated to the LSE International Relations Department. It was established in 1923, and is the oldest student society of the School. The club raises a broad a spectrum of issues concerning international relations, and frequently hosts speakers and panel discussions throughout the year.
It is also one of the few LSE student societies to organise regular student study trips, and have travelled to places as divergent as New York, Israel and the West Bank, Lebanon, the Western Balkans, Russia, Hungary and many more! The trips take place during the Christmas and Easter holidays and spaces are limited.
A website showing a catalogue of items held at the British Library of Political and Economic Science shows a list of several letters written by Harold, between 1916-1921, to Graham Wallas (1858-1932), a Political Psychologist.
